The post included a graphic showing Trump waving his fist as he descended from Air Force One, along with a list of countries or parties where he was said to have helped end conflicts.
The department later updated the tweet, changing the number from seven to eight. Earlier, Trump had claimed he ended seven wars in seven months. The eighth conflict added was the war between Israel and Hamas, which the tweet credited Trump with ending.
The list in the tweet included: Cambodia and Thailand, Kosovo and Serbia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, Pakistan and India, Israel and Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, and finally Israel and Hamas.
The tweet was retweeted around 3,600 times, liked approximately 13,000 times, and received over 1,500 comments.
Among the comments, one user questioned whether there had ever been wars between Egypt and Ethiopia or Kosovo and Serbia.
Another user asked ChatGPT about the accuracy of the tweet. The AI responded that no wars occurred between Serbia and Kosovo or Egypt and Ethiopia, and that the conflicts in these regions are ongoing.
