US President Donald Trump revealed that he underwent an MRI scan during his visit last October to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, without specifying the reason for the exam.
Trump told reporters: "I had the MRI scan, and the results were perfect. I have provided you with the full report."
Earlier this month, the White House released a one-page summary of a medical report stating that Trump enjoys "excellent overall health," noting that the visit included "advanced imaging tests, laboratory analyses, and preventive evaluations," without clarifying the reason for the imaging tests.
Trump did not provide any additional details himself, saying when asked what the doctors were looking for: "You can ask the doctors, but I believe they provided a definitive report… No president has ever given you reports like this."
Trump, 79, has been observed by journalists in recent months with swelling in his ankle and a persistent bruise on his right hand, sometimes covered with makeup. The White House announced last July that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a condition associated with leg swelling, while emphasizing that the president is in "excellent overall health."
