The Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X:

"The Israeli army struck operatives who were working inside a Hamas training compound in the Ein El Hilweh area in southern Lebanon."

He added: "When we say we will not tolerate any threat on the northern border, this includes all groups operating in the area, and we will continue to act forcefully against attempts by Hamas to establish a presence in Lebanon and to eliminate its operatives who threaten our security."
