Aoun in Tripoli: Time to end neglect, restore trust through better services
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun began his visit to Tripoli with a tour of the city’s Serail, where he met with officials and relevant authorities.

"I am visiting to tell the people of Tripoli that the State is present and will always stand by your side. To restore trust, services must be provided to citizens. Human dignity requires the State to deliver services and ensure they are accessible to everyone. This is how we restore trust," he said.

President Aoun stressed that "there can be no development without security," highlighting the role of the security agencies in ensuring citizens’ safety. "It is our duty to serve the people," he added.

He noted that Tripoli had suffered greatly from neglect, stressing that the time had come to put an end to it. He also pointed to projects planned for the people of Tripoli, all aimed at creating job opportunities for residents of the area.

The President affirmed that "when there is firm determination, all obstacles and difficulties can be overcome," emphasizing that citizens’ interests must be placed above all other considerations.

President Aoun then proceeded to the State Security Center at the Tripoli Serail, where he emphasized that "security is our duty and our responsibility. We take pride in you despite limited resources. Do not compromise or yield to pressure. Carry out your duties with integrity and live up to the responsibility entrusted to you."
