After bringing charges against 13 detainees in the Hezbollah explosives shipment case, Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Claude Ghanem referred the file to the First Military Investigative Judge, Ghada Abu Alwan. She is expected to schedule an interrogation session for detainees Haitham Amhez and Ali al-Kurdi, as well as the 11 other defendants, all of whom remain at large. They are all members of Hezbollah or cooperate with the group.
MTV has learned that Judge Abu Alwan will personally handle the case and will not refer it to any other military court judge, given its sensitivity. Under the law, the interrogation session must take place three days after the judge receives the file, allowing the defendants time to appear before the court. This means Abu Alwan is not expected to schedule a session before Thursday or Friday.
