Khalil Seizes Radioactive Pads

Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil revealed, on the sidelines of Mothers day, a scandalizing fact about radioactive hygienic pads entering Lebanon.

“The scanner showed pads containing a radiation ratio about 35 times double the approved amount by the Atomic Energy Center,” Khalil noted, adding that the shipment comes from Dubai.

The minister reiterated to al-Joumhouria newspaper his ongoing campaign against hazardous material that jeopardizes the public health, especially radioactive material found in such brands as ANION and PANTYLINER.
