US President Donald Trump announced that he had stopped the attack on Iran “in the interest of the world, and so that it can remain successful and prosperous.”

Trump said: “The United States and Israel have agreed to suspend the attack on Iran, provided that an agreement is reached quickly,” adding that “the United States is ready and equipped to act against Iran with a force of tremendous magnitude that we have not seen since World War II.”

He also revealed that “Iran and countries in the Middle East have requested a halt to the attack,” stressing that “any agreement with Iran must include the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.”
