Tannourine Water Company Chairman Georges Makhoul asserted during a press conference that “for forty years, Tannourine water has been among the cleanest, with no questions ever raised about its quality.”
Makhoul said the company was not officially notified by the Ministry of Public Health and learned of the suspension decision through social media, noting that “the sample used for testing was not collected according to proper procedures or in the presence of a company representative, making the results unreliable.”
Moreover, Makhoul emphasized that Tannourine’s products undergo regular testing that consistently confirms compliance with all safety standards.
“We are not in confrontation with the state,” he said, “but we are seeking to correct a regrettable mistake. We reserve our right to take all necessary measures to protect our reputation while maintaining full cooperation with state institutions.”
