The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Following close coordination and extensive communication with the relevant parties in the Shatila camp, the Intelligence Directorate took custody of six members of the Palestinian National Security Forces. They were handed over in connection with the shooting that targeted the vehicle of citizen Elio Abou Hanna, resulting in his death inside the camp on October 26, 2025. The suspects were reportedly manning a security checkpoint at the time of the incident.
The army also received one Lebanese citizen and four Syrian nationals from the same security apparatus in connection with the murder of a young woman whose body was found in the camp on October 28, 2025.
Interrogations are underway, and efforts continue to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.
