The Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced in a statement that, as part of ongoing efforts to combat crime across Lebanon, particularly drug trafficking and distribution of counterfeit currency, Beirut’s Investigation Unit obtained information about an individual involved in drug dealing and passing fake money in the Ramlet al-Bayda area.
Following intensive surveillance and investigative efforts, officers identified the suspect as:
A.A. (born 1999, Lebanese)
On October 4, 2025, a patrol unit spotted the suspect in Ramlet al-Bayda and executed a well-planned ambush, resulting in his arrest while driving a silver Kia Picanto with tinted windows.
A search of the suspect and the vehicle led to the seizure of narcotics prepared for distribution, along with counterfeit currency, including:
- 721 Captagon pills in two envelopes
- Three plastic bags containing marijuana
- $700 in counterfeit U.S. currency in $50 bills
The suspect and the confiscated items were referred to the competent judicial authorities for further legal action.
