According to MTV’s correspondent in Washington, Lebanese Army Commander, General Rodoph Haykal has begun a series of security meetings at the Pentagon. The discussions are focused on reviewing U.S. military aid programs and logistical support for the Lebanese Armed Forces.

General Haykal started his visit with a meeting with U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan Caine. He then met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Daniel Zimmerman, followed by a session with the Acting Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

The meetings are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation and support between the United States and Lebanon.
