The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced in a statement that, "In light of the current security situation and out of concern for the safety of the educational community, the Ministry has decided to close all public and private schools, high schools, and vocational and technical education institutions tomorrow, Tuesday, while continuing to assess developments on a daily basis in coordination with the relevant authorities.
On another note, the Ministry announced its apologies for not receiving citizens or handling requests, certifications, and equivalencies tomorrow, Tuesday, due to the current security circumstances.
Minister Rima Karami emphasized the condemnation of the attacks against Lebanon, expressed solidarity with displaced families, and made a list of public schools available as part of the national response plan to host them and provide suitable shelters.
The Ministry calls on all members of the educational community to follow its issued guidance, wishing safety for all Lebanese citizens."
