The National News Agency announced that Beirut’s Indictment Chamber has ordered the release of activist Ali Berro on bail set at 100 million Lebanese pounds, by a majority decision of two out of three judges.
Despite Judge Roland Chartouni opposing the decision and favoring continued detention, the majority ruling prevailed.
Barro has paid the bail through his lawyer and is expected to be released shortly.
