Haaretz, according to military sources, reported that the Israeli army fears additional pressure could lead to a full withdrawal in Lebanon back toward the border.
It added that the military estimates it may be forced to withdraw to the “yellow line” in southern Lebanon.
According to the report, there are also directives for the army to avoid large-scale attacks in Lebanon and focus on protecting its forces.
Haaretz further noted that uncertainty prevails within the Israeli military regarding the continuation of its deployment and positioning in southern Lebanon, adding that no clear instructions have yet been issued by the political leadership regarding the final direction in Lebanon.
