Ongoing efforts to contain Dekwaneh fire, 2 injured in civil defense
The Civil Defense Directorate’s media and public relations department announced in a statement that Lebanese Civil Defense teams are continuing efforts to extinguish the fire in the Dikwaneh area, with field units working to contain the flames and prevent their spread to nearby vehicles and properties.

Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar has been following the firefighting operations through direct contact with the Director General of Lebanese Civil Defense, Brig. Gen. Imad Khreis.

Minister of Telecommunications Charles Hage also visited the site and inspected the ongoing operations and efforts to control the fire.

Two Civil Defense personnel were injured during the firefighting operations and were taken to hospital for treatment, while one of them returned to continue his duties despite a hand injury.

The Director General of Civil Defense continues to monitor the operations on the ground, as specialized teams maintain their efforts to fully control the fire and limit its risks.
