The MTV website has learned that the Mount Lebanon Criminal Court, headed by Judge Elie Helou, has issued an in absentia ruling sentencing Dr. Food and several co-defendants to life imprisonment with hard labor.
The court also:
- Convicted the defendants under Article 150 of Lebanon's Narcotics Law.
- Sentenced them to life imprisonment with hard labor.
- Fined each defendant 120 million Lebanese pounds.
- Stripped those convicted in absentia of their civil rights.
