Oil Holds at More Than One-Week High; Gold Climbs to Nine-Week Peak
Oil prices held steady on Tuesday at their highest levels in more than a week, supported by geopolitical developments.

Brent crude futures stood at $87.81 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures were steady at $82.20 a barrel.

Both benchmarks had gained more than 5% on Monday, reaching their highest levels since July 31.

Meanwhile, gold prices climbed to a nine-week high on Tuesday, supported by strong buying momentum as investors awaited U.S. inflation data that could provide clues on the outlook for interest rates.

Spot gold rose 0.8% to $4,376.56 an ounce, while U.S. gold futures gained 0.5% to $4,419.70.
