Yahya Rahim Safavi, an adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned that any further attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran could lead to the conflict expanding geographically as far as the Indian Ocean.

In a video clip broadcast by the Fars News Agency, Safavi said: With the conflict now extending from the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea, this area could potentially expand, in response to a possible war, as far as the Indian Ocean, or perhaps even beyond.
