MP Sethrida Geagea chaired a meeting in Maarab to review bids submitted by six companies for the construction of the Cedars Mountain Foundation center in Bsharri, ahead of the project’s second phase covering construction and outfitting works.

The meeting was attended by former MP Joseph Ishac and Dar Al-Handasah representatives, engineers Pierre Dafouni, Tamara Sakhn and Naji Najm.

According to a statement, participants reviewed the results of the bid-opening and evaluation process ahead of completing procedures to award the tender to the contractor that submitted the best offer and proceed with the second phase.

The meeting stressed compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety and engineering specifications, as well as implementation according to proper procedures and a clear timetable to ensure the project’s orderly completion.
