Two people were killed and 35 others injured, some critically, in a shooting during a party in the US state of Georgia on Sunday, Reuters reported.
Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy said two men, aged 21 and 23, were shot dead in Vienna, about 216 kilometers south of Atlanta.
Officials said hundreds of people were attending the gathering, held at the end of Dooly County High School’s homecoming week. Most of the injured suffered gunshot wounds, with victims ranging in age from 14 to 51.
Authorities said there was no continuing threat to the public. No suspects or motive have yet been publicly identified.
