The Intelligence Branch in North Lebanon arrested a man identified as “M.S.” after a chase through the streets of Zgharta, following his attempt to flee from the officers. They fired shots into the air as a warning before shooting him in the leg and arresting him.

A quantity of drugs and other prohibited substances intended for trafficking was found in his possession. He was taken to hospital for the necessary medical treatment.

It was later established that he was wanted under an arrest warrant on charges of attempted murder. Legal proceedings against him were subsequently carried out under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
