President Joseph Aoun received Interior and Municipalities Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Al-Hajjar.
After the meeting, Al-Hajjar said they discussed the situation in southern Lebanon and the continuation of Israeli attacks, stressing the importance of strengthening the state’s presence there. He said this process began with the president’s visit and was followed by a visit by the prime minister accompanied by a number of ministers.
They also discussed the overall security situation, he said, adding that the authorities are following up on various issues and will continue to strengthen the measures taken by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities to ensure citizens’ security and safety.
