Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened that “the Israeli military is prepared to launch an operation targeting additional areas around Nabatieh and the Litani River in southern Lebanon.”
Katz stressed that “we will not withdraw from the security zone as long as Hezbollah has not been disarmed across all of Lebanon.”
He also announced that “we have established a security zone covering 700 square kilometers inside Lebanese territory,” adding that “we have destroyed more than 60 villages in southern Lebanon that contained 23,000 homes.”
