Gold hovers near Three-Month low
Gold prices hovered near a three-month low on Monday as investors awaited this week’s US Federal Reserve monetary policy meeting for clues about the outlook for interest rates, according to Reuters.

Spot gold fell 0.2% to $3,987.45 per ounce by 0037 GMT, after hitting its lowest level since mid-July in the previous session.

The precious metal recorded a 4% weekly decline on Friday, its steepest since June.

US gold futures for December delivery also slipped 0.2% to $4,000.80 per ounce.

Meanwhile, oil prices declined after surging to nearly six-month highs late last week, although continued attacks on Saudi Arabia kept supply concerns in focus.

US crude futures dropped $2.14, or 2.07%, to $101.13 per barrel by 0232 GMT, while Brent crude futures fell $2.12, or 1.82%, to $114.60 per barrel.
