President of the Republic Joseph Aoun was briefed by General Security Director General, Major General Hassan Choucair, on the outcomes of his visit to Saudi Arabia. Discussions also covered developments in Lebanon and the operations of the General Security Directorate.

Separately, Aoun received the newly appointed Board of Directors of the Litani River Authority, headed by Dr. Sami Alawieh, urging its members to establish a model of efficient and productive public administration that transforms national resources into essential services and development opportunities.

The President emphasized the authority’s responsibility for managing one of Lebanon’s most important water resources, stressing the need to optimize its use for irrigation and hydroelectric power generation while placing the public interest above all other considerations.
