Loud explosions were heard moments ago in the southwestern neighborhoods of Syria’s Aleppo city, reportedly caused by a blast at an ammunition depot within the Artillery College in the Ramouseh area.
Footage circulating on social media shows intense flames and thick smoke rising from the site of the explosions.
Some users speculated that the blasts were triggered by a tank explosion due to a technical malfunction, which intensified due to the presence of nearby shells.
Aleppo’s local authorities confirmed the incident, attributing the explosions to a technical fault at the Artillery College. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene and managed to extinguish the flames with no reported injuries.
