Watch: Chaos and panic at shopping center
A shopping center in Preston, north of Melbourne, Australia, witnessed chaos and panic after a violent brawl broke out between two groups of around 10 people, during which machetes were used, prompting shoppers to flee or seek shelter inside stores.

According to the Daily Mail Australia, police shut down the Northland shopping center following the incident, which left a man in his twenties seriously injured. He was transported to Royal Melbourne Hospital, where his condition was reported as stable.

Australian police arrested two individuals, one of whom is a 15-year-old boy. Authorities confirmed that the brawl was pre-arranged between two parties who knew each other. Investigations are ongoing, and police have called on witnesses to come forward with any information or footage.

Eyewitnesses said some stores abruptly closed their doors, while shoppers rushed into larger stores to hide amid a state of panic and a heavy security presence that included dozens of police and ambulance vehicles.
