The Israeli army spokesperson published a video from his visit to areas in southern Syria and the Damascus countryside, commenting:

I visited Mount Hermon and areas in southern Syria where Israeli army forces are carrying out missions to stabilize the border and prevent dangerous weapons and equipment from falling into extremist hands.

In this area, the Mountain Brigade, formed last year, operates to secure the borders between Israel, Syria, and Lebanon, as this region was previously used as a major smuggling route.

Army forces will continue to operate with determination and strength to detect, thwart, and destroy any threat that could endanger the citizens of the State of Israel.
