A series of protests has erupted in the city of Jerusalem, led by families of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers, demanding that the Israeli government be pressured to reach a prisoner exchange deal.
Protesters set fire to trash containers surrounding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence, and a parked car on the street also caught fire.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that protesters set fires around Netanyahu’s home as a pressure tactic, calling on him to halt the war and move toward a settlement that includes a prisoner exchange deal.
