US President Donald Trump, after being received at Ben Gurion Airport by Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, broke presidential protocol by inviting Netanyahu and his wife to join him in his presidential limousine.
Following the official welcome ceremony, Netanyahu and his wife got into Trump’s private presidential vehicle, "The Beast," and headed together to the Knesset, in a breach of presidential protocol, according to the Israeli newspaper Maariv.
"The Beast" is the official presidential car of the United States, specially designed to meet strict security standards for protecting the president.
The vehicle is notable for its heavy weight of up to 9 tons, armored body, bulletproof glass, and was significantly upgraded after the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy.
