US media reported that five people were injured in a shooting near Howard University in Washington, D.C.

According to CBS News, citing police sources, “several people were shot during what is believed to have been a ‘homecoming’ celebration near the Howard University campus.”

The network added that “four adult men and one teenager were found and transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.”

Meanwhile, police forces arrested two suspects in connection with the incident and placed them in custody.
