Two newlyweds in India suffered burns after hydrogen-filled balloons exploded during their “Haldi” ceremony.
The incident occurred after the couple used hydrogen balloons as part of their entrance display, where a color gun was accidentally pointed toward the balloons. The heat generated by the gun caused a reaction that led to the balloons exploding.
The couple posted a video of the incident with a caption explaining how an idea “inspired by a popular trend” turned into a painful accident.
They wrote: “We never imagined the most important day of our lives would take such a dramatic turn,” noting that what was meant to be a “fun Haldi display” left them physically and emotionally injured.
The couple stressed that their goal in sharing the video is to “raise awareness about how dangerous these trending ideas can be when safety rules are not followed.”
