Recently released footage from Sydney shows a couple physically confronting one of the perpetrators of the deadly attack that targeted Hanukkah celebrations. The couple managed, for a brief moment, to wrest the attacker’s weapon from him before he opened fire on them, killing them.
The newly surfaced video comes after the widely reported incident involving Ahmed Al-Ahmed, who was described as a hero for successfully stopping one of the attackers.
Israeli security officials said they had issued warnings to several intelligence agencies worldwide, cautioning about the potential for terrorist attacks targeting Jewish sites and urging international authorities to implement heightened preventive measures.
The footage, aired by Australia’s national broadcaster ABC, shows the unarmed couple facing the attacker, engaging in a physical struggle and attempting to disarm him—an effort that briefly succeeded.
According to the Daily Mail, the attacker later regained control of his weapon and continued the deadly assault. The couple were among those killed in the terrorist attack.
