U.S. President Donald Trump announced, in a post on the Truth Social platform, that he had declared himself interim ruler of Venezuela.

Trump shared a photo of himself from Wikipedia under the caption “Acting President of Venezuela,” sarcastically alluding to the legitimacy of Delcy Rodriguez, Vice President of Nicolas Maduro, who assumed power after he and his wife were arrested on January 3 by a U.S. special forces unit.
