Passenger ferry capsizes in the Nile
The Sudan Doctors Network reported that at least 15 people were killed after a passenger ferry capsized in the Nile River in Sudan.

The network said the ferry, which was carrying at least 27 people, including women and children, sank in Nile State in the north of the country. It noted that at least 15 bodies have been recovered, while residents and rescue teams are still searching for at least six more victims. It added that six people survived the disaster.

The network urged authorities to deploy rescue teams and specialized equipment to speed up search efforts.
