The Israeli army announced the conduct of a military drill in the city of Eilat on the Red Sea coast, amid heightened security alert and escalating regional tensions.

In a statement, the army explained that “the drill will involve intense movements of security, emergency, and rescue forces, along with the deployment of ships in the area, as part of exercises aimed at increasing operational readiness.” It emphasized that “there is no danger of security incidents” and noted that “in the event of any real emergency, residents will be informed through official security channels.”
