Trump surprised : Is Mojtaba Khamenei homosexual?
The New York Post reported that last week, US President Donald Trump received an intelligence briefing suggesting that Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, might be homosexual, and that his late father, Ali Khamenei, had questioned his fitness to lead the Islamic Republic for this reason.

According to the newspaper, Trump was reportedly very surprised by this information during the briefing and burst out laughing upon hearing it. Sources familiar with the matter said that several attendees shared his reaction, and one source noted that a senior intelligence official “hasn’t stopped laughing for days.”

The newspaper stated that these claims were conveyed by officials within the US intelligence community, as well as a person close to the White House, noting that intelligence agencies consider the information credible and not part of a disinformation campaign aimed at undermining Mojtaba Khamenei, aged 56, who was chosen to succeed his father after his death on March 8.

Sources indicated that the intelligence suggests Mojtaba Khamenei had a long-term relationship with his childhood tutor, while a third source said the relationship involved someone who previously worked for the Khamenei family.

The newspaper also cited a source claiming that Khamenei, who is believed to have been injured in the February 28 airstrike that killed his father and several family members, made sexual advances toward men providing him medical care, possibly under the influence of strong medication.

Although U.S. intelligence agencies do not have visual evidence to substantiate these claims, sources asserted that the information is reliable, coming from one of the most sensitive sources relied upon by the US government.

The newspaper noted that rumors about Mojtaba Khamenei’s personal life have circulated within Iran since the May 2024 helicopter crash that killed then-President Ebrahim Raisi, who had been considered the favored candidate to succeed Ali Khamenei.
