Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reiterated Tehran’s stance that US forces based in other countries are “legitimate targets”.

In a phone call with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhub Bayramov, Araghchi said that no country can provide its territory or facilities for others to carry out aggression, according to a summary of the call from Iranian news outlet ISNA.

“Iran’s defensive actions are solely aimed at the aggressors, as well as the bases and facilities that are used to attack Iran,” ISNA quoted Araghchi as saying.
