Reza Amiri Moghadam has taken to X to give his thoughts on President Trump’s announcement that his new operation in the Strait of Hormuz will be paused.

Moghadam shared Trump’s Truth Social post about the announcement with the caption reading in Farsi: “He who tries what has already been tried will be filled with regret,” and in English: “Once Beaten, Twice Shy.”

Trump said the decision to pause operations was made “based on the request” of Pakistan, the mediator in the US-Iran talks.
