Meysam Afshar, the secretary-general of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, says the organisation has suffered extensive damage as a result of US-Israeli attacks on Iran, according to the Mehr news agency.
Afshar said the total estimated losses amount to about 10 trillion tomans ($129m).
Three Red Crescent helicopters were damaged, with one “completely destroyed”, he revealed, according to Mehr.
The destruction of the one helicopter alone is estimated to have cost about 1,500 billion tomans ($19.5m), Afshar added.
In addition, 49 emergency vehicles sustained damage, while more than 56 facilities belonging to the organisation were also affected, the secretary-general said.
