Denmark's Queen Margrethe, ​86, was ‌admitted to hospital due to ​angina on ​Thursday, the royal court ⁠said.

"Her Majesty ​is tired, ​but in good spirits," the court ​said in ​a statement.

The queen, who abdicated ‌in ⁠2024 and passed the throne to her ​firstborn ​son ⁠Frederik, will remain hospitalised ​over ​the ⁠weekend for observation and further ⁠examinations, ​it ​added.
