Geagea hails municipal election results in Mount Lebanon as sign of change
Lebanese Forces Party leader Samir Geagea praised the outcome of the first round of municipal and mukhtar elections in Mount Lebanon, describing it as a strong indication of the public’s determination to drive meaningful change.

In a statement, Geagea saluted party members and supporters across districts, cities, and towns in Mount Lebanon, as well as all citizens who participated in the vote. Geagea commended their enthusiasm, willpower, and commitment to reshaping municipal councils.

“The change witnessed—especially in major towns—sends a clear message that people of all political affiliations are no longer willing to accept corruption or mismanagement at any level,” Geagea said.

The LF leader added that the results herald a new phase for Lebanon: “What happened yesterday in Mount Lebanon signals a positive shift and confirms that the country has begun to shed the old skin that weighed it down with wounds for the past thirty years.”

Geagea concluded by expressing hope that the upcoming election rounds in other Lebanese governorates would be equally promising and transformative.
