President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, welcomed President of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Sheikh Bader Mohammad Al-Saad, at the Presidential Palace.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Al-Saad stated: “We wanted to be the first Arab institution to offer Lebanon immediate aid and loans in support of its recovery efforts. We currently have a technical and advisory team based in Lebanon to evaluate potential projects, and we maintain strong cooperation with Lebanon’s Council for Development and Reconstruction to study and implement these initiatives.”
When asked specifically about Kuwait’s position, he affirmed that “relations between Kuwait and Lebanon have always been positive and strong.”
