The Lebanese Army, with the support of a patrol from the Bekaa Intelligence Unit, oversaw the voluntary return of 100 displaced Syrian families from the camps in Arsal to western Qalamoun.
The return journey began in Wadi Hmeid in Arsal, heading toward the Al-Zamrani crossing and into the villages of western Qalamoun.
A patrol from the Lebanese Army Intelligence accompanied the families voluntarily leaving to the Lebanese-Syrian border point at the Al-Zamrani crossing.
This operation is part of weekly measures taken by the Lebanese Army from Arsal and neighboring villages in the northern Bekaa region toward western Qalamoun and Homs. Notably, 50 families voluntarily departed yesterday through the official Joussieh border crossing toward Qusayr and villages in the Homs countryside.
It is worth noting that there is ongoing coordination and communication between the Lebanese Army and the displaced Syrians regarding the weekly voluntary return process across the Syrian border.
