Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar oversaw the handover of ballot boxes to polling station heads and clerks from the central operations room for municipal and mayoral elections at the ministry's headquarters.

The process began at dawn on Saturday, accompanied by Internal Security Forces personnel, in preparation for the start of the electoral process in the governorates of North Lebanon and Akkar on Sunday morning.
