Hajjar Urges Civic Engagement, Vows to Curb Electoral Violations
Minister of Interior Ahmad Hajjar emphasized the importance of civic engagement during the electoral process, urging citizens to express their opinions and observe the counting process with full civility and ethics. He stressed the need to avoid violating the law, particularly with regard to electoral bribery and the use of violence by competitors, affirming that security forces will not tolerate any violations, including those related to controlling electoral funds, bribery, or any other infractions.

Highlighting the significance of timely elections, Hajjar stated that holding the electoral process on schedule is, in itself, a victory for the logic of the state and local development. He also acknowledged that a number of employees did not report for duty to receive the ballot boxes and carry out the electoral process for various reasons, but confirmed that all employees had been notified by phone, describing the process as both a national entitlement and a national duty.

Despite some incidents, Hajjar noted that the overall atmosphere remains positive and affirmed that authorities will be strict in safeguarding the ballot boxes and ensuring proper conduct during the counting process.
