President of the Republic Joseph Aoun arrived at Cairo International Airport at 10:30 am accompanied by Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, for a one-day official visit to Egypt at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
President Aoun was received by Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat, Lebanese Ambassador to Cairo Ali Al-Halabi, Counselor Rehab Abou Zein, Consul General in Cairo Dany Barbari, Consul Farah Siblini, Consul General in Alexandria Abir Ali, MEA’s Cairo office director Maya Hamandi, and members of the Lebanese embassy.
Following a formal reception and honor guard, President Aoun proceeded with Minister Esmat to the presidential lounge before heading to Al-Ittihadiya Palace for official talks with President El-Sisi.
A joint press conference will follow, after which President El-Sisi will host a luncheon in honor of his Lebanese counterpart and accompanying delegation.
