President of the Republic Joseph Aoun praised "the work carried out by the security and military forces, as well as the efforts of the Ministers of Interior, Defense, and Justice to ensure the success of the municipal and district elections in all the provinces."

During an inspection tour at the Sidon Serail to follow up on the launch of the elections in the South and Nabatieh provinces, Aoun called on everyone to "vote, as the elections are not political but developmental, and the citizen must vote for those who will contribute to the development of their town and reconstruction."

He said: "The elections in the South are proof that life is stronger than death, and I tell the citizens to choose the right option."
