President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received the President of the Arab and International Relations Council, Mohammad Jassem Al-Saqr, at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, Al-Saqr said the delegation had listened to a comprehensive overview of the current situation in Lebanon and exchanged views on possible avenues of support. “We understand Lebanon is facing major challenges, but we believe the solutions are both clear and achievable,” he stated.
Al-Saqr praised President Aoun’s inauguration address, describing it as a “clear roadmap toward state-building,” though he acknowledged the difficulty of implementation due to significant obstacles, most notably, the issue of weapons outside state control.
Despite the hurdles, he expressed hope for comprehensive solutions that would restore stability to the country, affirming the council’s readiness to offer practical support for Lebanon and its people.
