The Ministry of Public Works and Transport announced the launch of flood prevention works in the city of Jounieh, including the cleaning and rehabilitation of rainwater drainage and sewage networks. This initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to reduce flood risks and enhance critical infrastructure.
According to a statement from the Ministry’s Media Office, this preventive intervention comes in continuation of a broader plan to strengthen preparedness ahead of the winter season, especially in coastal areas.
The Ministry confirmed that the works are being carried out in coordination with local authorities and in line with public safety standards, ensuring both traffic flow and citizen safety.
Citizens are urged to cooperate and remain patient with temporary measures accompanying the works.
